She did her Ph.D from Thapar University, Patiala. She has 15 years of teaching experience. She joined as Associate Professor in the Department of Physics, DAV university, Jalandhar, in August 2013. She has one patent published recently and 25 research publications in peer reviewed reputed journals. Her paper was awarded Best Paper of the year by Taylor and Francis in 2012. She has completed two research projects funded by UGC and DST Govt. of India and is currently working on a DST SHRI project on Traditional Science. She has guided three PhD and several MSc Thesis.
