2018-19

Fun Games

On 30^th April, 2018, Agro Club organized fun games like tug of war, frog race for the students of the department.

Freshers’ Party 2018

The department of Agriculture organized a fresher party to welcome the fresh students of B.Sc Agriculture and M.Sc Agriculture programme on 22^nd August, 2018. Students participated in various colourfull events like dance, poetry, songs and fashion show. Mr Fresher and Ms Fresher were selected and awarded. 

Agri Fest was organized by Agro club on 8^th Feb., 2019 in which students of various departments participated in different competitions like extempore, Agri quiz, PUBG and Chess.

Teachers’ Day: Students celebrated teachers’ day on 5^th September with great enthusiasm.

Freshers’ Party

Second year students of Faculty of Agricultural Sciences organized Freshers’ party on 30^th August, 2019 to welcome new students.

Ø Debate, poster and quiz competition on stubble burning was organized by Agro club of Faculty of Agricultural Sciences in association with KVK Kapurthala on 15^th November, 2019

Ø Sports event was organized by Agro Club, Faculty of Agri Sciences on 19^th February, 2020.

Science Fest:

Science fest was celebrated on 28^th and 29^th Feb., 2020. Various events like extempore, quiz, poster making and Rangoli making competitions were organized by Ago Club in Faculty of Agricultural Sciences.

2020-21

Ø  Science Fest was celebrated on 4^th March by organising poster competition, photography competition and model making competition.

Ø  Debate and poster making competition on “Crop Residue Management and Smart Farming” was organized by Agro club in association with KVK Kapurthala on 16^th March, 2021.

2021-22

·       To welcome new students, fresher party ‘Parichay 2K21’ was organized on 12^th Oct., 2021.

Ø Agro club of Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, DAV University, Jalandhar organized an event ‘AGREAM’ on 30^th September, 2021 in which various competitions like chess, poster making, photography, quiz, BGMI and Free Fire were conducted. About 70 students participated in the different events. In chess, Mr. Jaskaran bagged first prize, Ms. Ritika second and Mr. Shubham Jena bagged third prize. In poster making competition, Ms Nancy, Ms. Anmol Preet Kaur and Ms. Simran Kamal won first, second and third prize, respectively. Mr. Kulnandan and Mr. Abhinandan bagged first and second prize, in photography.  In quiz, Ms Damini and Ms. Marvi won first prize, Ms. Bhumika and Mr. Sangam won second prize and Mr. Abhishek and Mr. Navjot won third prize. In BGMI, Mr. Mohit and Mr. Daman won first prize, Mr. Jatin and Mr. Mandeep won second and Mr. Vaibhavjeet won third prize. Faculty and student coordinators, Agro Club, all faculty members, all CRs and DR were present during the event.

·       ‘Shramdaan Diwas’ was organized on 13^th Oct., 2021.

Students of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences harvested maize crop during the event.

·       Science fest was celebrated in the department on 3^rd March, 2022. Students participated in different competitions like debate, flower arrangement, rangoli and poster making competition and video clip making competition - Agro vines.
