The seminar on the theme “INDIA’s Freedom Struggle” has been organized by DAV University on 12th March 2021. The seminar is a part of the celebration of India’s 75 years of Independence and celebrated as ‘Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav’. Dr. Jasbir Rishi, Vice-Chancellor welcomed the Chief Guest, Colonel Hitesh Duggal Sena Medal, Commanding Officer, 21 Punjab NCC Battalion Kapurthala, and Guest of Honor, Colonel Virender Singh, ADM with great honor. Colonel Hitesh Duggal Sena Medal shared his experiences as an officer and motivated the youth to move with ethnicity and understand their obligation in every walk of life. Dr. Kailash Nath Kaul, Registrar & Dr. R.K. Seth, Dean Academics motivated the students to serve the country wirh dedication and commitement.
Different events such as essay writing, the oral presentation have been organized. The cadets have participated courageously in these events and shared their opinion on different aspects and movements that lead to the Independence of India. In these events, Amisha Thakur, Aastha Bhardwaj, Manjeet Kour secured first, second and third positions in essay writing while Davinder Singh, Virat Kalia, and Deepika in an oral presentation, respectively. Dr. Manju Deorari and Dr. Manish Kumar hosted the event. Dr. Gurmeet Singh, Care Taker Officer (CTO) extended the vote of thanks to Colonel Hitesh Duggal Sena Medal, Commanding Officer, 21 Punjab NCC Battalion Kapurthala, and Colonel Virender Singh, ADM for accepting the invitation and their presence for this auspicious event.
