DAV University girl cadet Riya Dhadhwal won three gold medals in various competitions at the Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC) held at Ropar in Punjab. She won gold medal in writing, tug of war and beat anchor. She was also designated as Under Officer (UO). Riya along with three other NCC cadets of DAV University, Jalandhar had attended CATC at NCC Academy, Ropar and Army Attachment Camp (AATC) 2017 at Jalandhar. Major S. K. Tulli, Associate NCC Officer (ANO), Capt Sameer Sharma ANO at DAV College and Dr. Gurmeet Singh Lotey, ANO at DAV University appreciated the effort of the cadets.

Prof (Dr) R. K. Mahajan, Vice-Chancellor, Dr Sushma Arya, Registrar and Dr. Jagbir Rishi, Dean congratulated the cadets and said that the NCC cadets must contribute to the betterment of the society.
