Sanyogita Singh, a student of Masters in Physical Education clinched first position (Gold) in the +78 weight category in North-east zone inter-university Judo Championship. The championship was held at Chhatraparti Shahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur. She is also declared the best judoka of the tournament.

The event was held between Another student Priya selected among the top 8 players at the championship who would now participate in all India University Championships. She participated in the - 48 weight category. Priya is pursuing BSc in Health and Physical Education.

Both students were the part of DAV University women's team.

The Vice-Chancellor Dr Manoj Kumar congratulated the winners. Dr Yeshbeer Singh, Director, Sports, DAV  University said that the girls proved their mettle at the championship. Registrar Dr Sanjeev Kumar Arora also congratulated the students.
